Genevieve is petite but curvy, standing at just barely 5'3 in her stockinged feet. She often appears taller, due to the heeled boots and shoes that she favours over flats. Her skin is pale and clear, eyes wide and blue. Her face is round, smile a bit too wide, and while she is by no means overweight, she isn't quite as thin as some might say she is supposed to be. She does like her desserts, after all. Most would simply overlook her appearances, were it not for her hair. It's ginger, and darker than her siblings'. It is her one distinguishing feature.
When it comes to clothing, Gen does have a weakness for pretty dresses and the like, but she is just as comfortable in a pair of trousers if she can get away with it. She prefers to, when she's outside riding or whatnot, even if it is deemed inappropriate by her mother and sister. And now that she is married and no longer living in her parents' home, she dresses much more casually-- always in dresses, of course, as is proper.

Quirks: Gen is a bit of a tomboy. She has a tendency to fidget and fiddle around if she is expected to sit still for too long.
Motivations: To be free of her parents' and society's expectations. She wants to have a choice, to be able to do what she wants- not just marry and settle down. She has things she'd like to do before then.
Weaknesses: Her stubbornness. Her arrognce. Her temper, at times.
Strengths: Her confidence, her intelligence, her passion. She has an active imagination, and a tendency to create stories in her head.
General: Nearly everything about Genevieve is red. She loves the colour, and it fits much of her personality. She is passionate, temperamental, easily excitable, aggressive, courageous, energetic, and confident.
She knows how to behave like the proper lady she was raised to be, though there is a certain...roughness about her that her twin sister does not possess. She can be arrogant-- less so about her looks than her skills with a sword (although, honestly, she's mostly self-taught so she's probably not as good as she wishes to be) or on horseback, as well as her strong mind. She knows that she is not especially pretty, and is happy enough knowing that she wasn't hit with the ugly-stick. She is fiercely protective of her family and friends- she can have a rather vicious nature, at least when it comes to defending her family. She refuses to listen to anybody say a single bad thing about them; her short temper will flare up and often the offender will find themselves facing a rather feisty redhead.
She is passionate about everything she does. Whether it's a discussion or debate, horseback riding, the stories she creates, or even simply conversations, Genevieve throws herself into it head-on; it's the only way to truly experience something, in her mind. Her emotions are strong; she isn't much of a flirt for the sake of flirting-- she isn't afraid to use her charm as a means to an end, whether that's seeking information or simply wanting, well, whatever she wants. | personal history;
Genevieve was born the second child of the well-to-do Brisbois family-- she was healthy, born with a head full of red hair and screaming bloody murder, just minutes before her much quieter twin sister Penny. She was rarely a quiet child, constantly on the go once she grew mobile.
Where her older brother was clearly their mother's favorite, she made sure that she was her father's. Germaine was constantly in and out due to business, and as soon as she knew how to, Gen began to write him while he was away, telling him everything about what was going on, and sharing wild stories that she would make up just for him. Over time, she has developed quite the collection of gifts from her father- each of which she treasures.
She created many stories, though some she reserved just for her sister, featuring themselves and others they knew as the main characters in the story. Gen and Penny were perhaps not as close as other twins, they were closer than most siblings. Both were subjected to the usual tutors and lessons that those of their station; however, where Penny preferred needlework and the other ladies' lessons, Gen loved her riding lessons and history lessons and all of the other things her mother said she shouldn't be doing too much of.
She was almost nine when she met Julius, the Brisbois family's new stable boy. She was fascinated- for one, she didn't really know any boys outside of her brother, and two, he got to spend all his time outside with horses! One day, she marched right up to him and decided to strike a deal. He would teach her everything he could about horses, and in turn, she would teach him mathematics and how to read and write. He accepted, and it was the beginnings of a close friendship for the two of them.
Gen and Penny were debuted at 18 like every other girl of their status, and unlike her sister, Gen did not receive a single marriage proposal. To be quite honest, she couldn't be happier for this-- she didn't want any of those stuffy men who knew nothing of who she really was and only wanted her for her looks or her money.
It was another year or so after her debut before she realized her feelings for Julius. Friendship turned into something deeper-- though it certainly wasn't an easy road. It was after one particularly bad misunderstanding that the two really figured things out and Julius proposed. Thrilled, Genevieve accepted his proposal and they were married quickly. Gen moved with Julius into a small house about halfway between her parents' home and Greenville, and the two have been happily married ever since. It hasn't been easy, for Gen's had to adjust to a new life, but she's doing well enough, and having Julius with her at the end of the day makes it all completely worth it. | ooc;
